The Reason Why I Paint: “I Belong”

“Back to My Home”

Did you know that the sense of belonging is an incredibly important part for our “feeling good” state of mind?!

The poem, I am about to share with you, came out as a natural narration when I walked around our property. It resonates with every painting that I create. Each piece of my art is highly intuitive and authentic. Why? Because I do not follow any rules, instructions or expectations from the outside world. I do not plan or sketch as recommended. I only follow my INNER voice expressing MY values and philosophy of life, gratitude to the Mother Nature that teaches us and guides through her wisdom; She nourishes and heals us. And THAT is the main focus of my art, the main reason I create - to HEAL. To speak the TRUTH.

“Her Brilliance” is a sonnet to lavender, one of the most healing plants, so beloved and grown by many!

These paintings are my language. Repeatedly, I get comments, letters and testimonies from my art buyers and viewers that the paintings bring healing to them through just simple observation. And I am so grateful to all the members of my tribe with likeminded people - to YOU!

I truly hope this letter will bring you sense of peace and safety - the warm feeling of belonging.

“Goldenrod Wildflower” ~ creates a calming sense of home through the hint of a cottage in the woodland, gentle breeze in the wildflowers meadow, through the yellow color that evokes hope, joy and happiness.

Only…when…

I gift myself with solitude…

without outside noise…

Without any agenda or plan.

Only then I notice, feel,

And hear my inner voice

In unison with the surrounding treasures.

“Lynx Run Wilderness” ~ fresh June greens and yellow sun light promotes healing, neuroscientists say. Please note, majority of medical ads and packaging use green color due to a certain effect on our brain. Similarly, without even planning and only intuitively, most of my paintings have green color! I love it!

A little spider on a grass blade.

A dancing tree leaf.

A magic of the milkweed seed.

Only then I feel safe.

I feel connected.

I feel at home.

I feel I belong here”.

“Chicory Bliss” promotes calmness through absence of business and warm colors. In addition, gentle blues are the most effective color in this sense and that’s why water has such strong effect on our wellbeing.

Please stay tuned for our next Artists Retreat, October 17-19, with Artist Rob VanderZee, founder of the Lynx Run Wilderness retreat and resort in Michigan.

I kindly ask you to support our mission of promoting wellbeing, physical and emotional, through forwarding our emails to your friends.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Alla
