Plan your Tulip Time: Visiting Veldheer Tulip Gardens
Yes the blooms are on time for 2025 Tulip Time Festival!
Well, the well-known Tulip Time Festival in our city of Holland, Michigan, is right around the corner: May 2-11! Thousands of people from different US states are planning their trip to marvel the true SPRING BEAUTY!
As Veldheer’s resident artist and local now for almost 30 years (I immigrated from the far-away Siberia) I am deeply intrigued by this flower, such a strong symbol of Hope, Resilience and Beauty!
For the last ten years, since I left my corporate life and dedicated myself to the arts, tulips have played a significant role in my artistic journey. My fascination with this flower, spending hours at the local tulip gardens, studying their personalities and painting hundreds of paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic and pen have brought me a heartwarming recognition both locally and internationally. It is truly a magical journey for a self-taught artist and I am very humbled by that.
I hope you take your family or friends, or spontaneously organize your personal soulful field trip- come and visit the Veldheer Tulip Garden with
Over 5 Million bulbs planted!

Bloom Predictions
As of 4/26/25 we are predicting peak blooms 5/1-5/5. Tulips like the cold so if we maintain cooler nights and days below 70’s we can maintain those blooms for another week. Tulips are sensitive to heat and a hot day could set them to wilt faster so keep an eye on the live cam and bloom updates from us. We should maintain nice blooms through the second weekend of Tulip Time 5/9-5/11!
DeKlomp Wooden Shoe & Delft Factory
Did you know that Veldheer’s is home to authentic Delft? It is one of few in the country importing clay from the Netherlands and using traditional hand-painted techniques to paint their delft. Read more on our blog here >>>
